 Chirac’s Cellar sold «Vinnaya Karta» ¹5(86) June-July 2007 London-based Antique Wine Company has sold a collection of fine wines amassed during Chirac’s time as Mayor of Paris. The 362-bottle collection included various vintages of champagne Krug, Burgundian Domaine de la Romanee Conti, Bordeaux Grand Crus Lafite, Mouton, Margaux, Haut Brion as well as Petrus and Haut Brion Blanc. Linley, a renowned London design studio, created a scale model Paris City Hall case, crafted in the finest precious woods, by the company’s commission. The best wines of the City Hall, dubbed as Chirac’s Cellar, were sold for a hefty sum of 300,000 pounds (600,000 dollars).
