Riesling days in Italy

Traditional event Giornate del Riesling in honour of a great white variety on the Italian land took place in Alto Adige.

Riesling is best adapted for cultivation in the northern part of Italy, especially in the mountainous areas of Alto Adige and Trentino, but it is also found in the vineyards of Friuli, Veneto and Piedmont. A large tasting of 100 Rieslings from around the world, as well as a special vertical tasting of an Alsace Riesling was organised. The third national competition Riesling Gold was held where top three places went to Kerschbaumer Günther Köfererhof, Landesgut/Kellerei Laimburg and Weinkellerei H.Lun. All winners come from Alto Adige.
